These terms apply when you use an Apex Tai Chi website, attend a class, book a private session or programme, join an online session or membership, or access a resource. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory consumer rights.
About Apex Tai Chi
Apex Tai Chi provides Tai Chi, Qigong, breathing, mindful movement, Daoist meditation and related wellbeing education. “Service” means any class, session, programme, workshop, membership, guide, recording or other resource supplied by Apex Tai Chi.
Health and participation
Apex Tai Chi does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, physiotherapy, psychotherapy or emergency healthcare. Website content and practice resources are not substitutes for advice from a qualified healthcare professional.
You are responsible for deciding whether participation is suitable for you. Seek appropriate advice if you have a medical condition, recent injury or surgery, are pregnant, have been advised to restrict activity, or are uncertain. Tell Dr Jar about relevant mobility or accessibility needs, practise within a comfortable range, do not force painful movements, and stop if you experience pain, dizziness, faintness, unusual breathlessness or significant discomfort.
Apex Tai Chi does not guarantee a particular physical, emotional, mental, medical or therapeutic result.
Bookings and payment
A booking is confirmed when Apex Tai Chi accepts it and any required payment or arrangement is completed. An enquiry alone does not guarantee a place. Prices, schedules, locations and payment arrangements are stated on the website or confirmed before the service begins.
Cancellation and refund arrangements are set out in the Refund and Cancellation Policy.
Membership
Membership access depends on an active paid or expressly approved membership. Access may pause after expiry or an unsuccessful payment. Your sign-in code and account access are personal and must not be shared. Cancelling a recurring membership stops future renewal when the cancellation takes effect; access ordinarily remains available until the paid-through date.
Online sessions
You are responsible for a suitable device and internet connection, enough clear space, safe flooring, suitable clothing and any support you require. Apex Tai Chi cannot inspect or control your surroundings. Private joining links must not be shared or published.
Behaviour and safeguarding
Participants must behave respectfully towards the instructor, other participants, venue staff and the public. Apex Tai Chi may refuse or end participation where conduct is unsafe, abusive, discriminatory, threatening, seriously disruptive or inappropriate. Photography, filming or recording requires prior consent.
Changes or cancellation by Apex Tai Chi
A service may be cancelled, postponed, relocated or adapted because of illness, venue issues, weather, safety, technical failure, low attendance or circumstances outside reasonable control. Where a prepaid service is cancelled without a suitable alternative, an appropriate transfer, credit or refund will normally be offered.
Intellectual property and member resources
Unless stated otherwise, Apex Tai Chi owns or licenses its website and teaching materials. They are supplied for personal, non-commercial use. You must not redistribute paid or member-only resources, publish private links, record or redistribute sessions, sell the materials, or use substantial parts to create a competing product without written permission.
Website and third parties
You must not interfere with website security, attempt unauthorised access or introduce harmful software. Connected third-party services have their own availability, privacy and terms. Check important class, venue and booking details before travel.
Liability and statutory rights
Nothing excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, breach of statutory consumer rights, or anything that cannot legally be excluded. Subject to that, Apex Tai Chi is not responsible for loss caused by inaccurate information you provide, failure to follow reasonable instructions, unsafe surroundings under your control, third-party services, circumstances outside reasonable control, or losses that were not reasonably foreseeable.
Changes, law and contact
These terms may be updated for future use when services, booking arrangements or legal requirements change. They are governed by the laws of England and Wales, while consumers elsewhere retain mandatory protections that apply to them.
Questions can be sent to drjar@apextaichi.com or through the contact page.
